The Arkansas Tech University Office of University Relations wants to know “What’s Your Tech Story?”
University Relations will host student interviews from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Room 203 of the Baswell Techionery. The interviews will be recorded to help university personnel capture the pulse of campus and to identify students who are interested in appearing in photographs for university publications and online communications.
Interviews will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and each interview should take approximately 20 minutes. No advance appointments are necessary.
One lucky Arkansas Tech student who tells his or her Tech story will walk away with a free iPad2. Three additional students will win Wonder Bucks, which can be used at Baswell Techionery, Chambers Cafeteria or the Tech Bookstore.
Students can register for the door prizes before their interview, and winners will be selected at random from all students who took part in the interviews.
Some of the questions students will be asked include:
- Why did you choose Arkansas Tech?
- What is your favorite part of being a Tech student?
- How has your Tech experience compared to your expectations?
- What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
- What obstacles must you overcome to earn your degree?
- What are your goals for after college?
Selected clips from the interviews will be placed on the Arkansas Tech website, Tech’s YouTube channel and Arkansas Tech’s Facebook page.
