Two Arkansas Tech students were recognized by National Association of Sport and Physical Education with the Outstanding Major of the Year Award for Arkansas Tech University.
Tech students Mitchell Wilson (left) and Michael Sola (right) were recognized at the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance’s annual convention in Indianapolis last month.
Both students are majoring in health and physical education at Tech.
The honor is awarded annually to “exemplary students majoring in physical education, sport management, athletic training, and the sub-disciplines of kinesiology. ”
The NASPE works to “enhance knowledge, improve professional practice, and increase support for high quality physical education, sport, and physical activity programs through research, development of standards, and dissemination of information.”
