Arkansas Tech University students are learning more about plants and the process to grow them as part of a program in the Arkansas Tech Department of Agriculture.
Students enrolled in the plant propagation course at Arkansas Tech will spend the semester growing and tending to the poinsettias.
In an effort to apply what the students are learning in the classroom, the students will manage a variety of the tasks including planting, fertilizing, watering and pruning the poinsettias.
This year’s poinsettia sale is set for Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2. A wide variety of poinsettia cultivars will be available, and the funds from the sale will be utilized for additional greenhouse equipment and supplies.
