Arkansas Tech University students will soon dash across the Russellville campus in pursuit of prizes and the title of The Wonder Race 2025 champions.
The Wonder Race 2025 will start at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Witherspoon Auditorium. Check-in for pre-registered participants will start at 6:30 p.m. Members of the ATU community are invited to attend and play the role of supportive spectators.
The teams that will compete for the title are:
- Dumb and Dumber: Emily Zimmerman and Abby Duvall
- Torin and Mack: Torin Matthews and Mackenzie Epperson
- ThelyricKen: Lyric Washington
- Speedy Amigos: Abisai Martinez and Garrett Poole
- Artemis and Apollo: Madison Mertens and Dalton Bishop
- Charley Horse: Mason Moore and Logan Love
- Team Tomodachi: Kai Herring and Logan Hammond
- Beauty and the Beast: Hannah Melton and Allie Stoll
- The FA: Kaitlyn Tucker and Jennifer Saenz
- The “SIC” Student Workers: Oscar Perez and Ruby Rubio
- Purplicious: Molly Grandstaff and Josiah Spicer
- Janet: Joy Skaggs and Annie Juarez
- Ford F250 Double Wide: Shaylin Grace Waldrop and Dominick Deaton
- Cookie and Cream: Essynce Norwood and Hayley Lunsford
- Double Trouble: Rose Gunther and Aubrey Evans
ATU Student Activities Board, which sponsors The Wonder Race, describes the event as combining “the elements of teamwork, strategy and quick thinking.”
Teams of two work together to complete the race.
Mason Moore and Logan Love earned the top prize in The Wonder Race in 2024.
Prizes for the top three teams in 2025 will be Beats headphones, Bluetooth projectors and Amazon Firesticks.
