The game-winning base hit was the first hit of the game for the Tigers. Paxton Duran scored the winning run from second base. She had reached on a one-out walk and stolen second base. Duran (2-3) was the winning pitcher. She tossed a two-hit shutout and struck out 11 Golden Suns while walking just one. Sydnee Clark (2-1) took the loss in the circle. She surrendered one run on one hit over four and one-third innings of relief. Courtney Colunga and Chelsea Reeves had one hit apiece for Arkansas Tech. Game Two: Fort Hays State 1, Arkansas Tech 0 Fort Hays State celebrated a second consecutive walk-off win over Arkansas Tech in the nightcap. Rilee Krier delivered a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning that brought Veronica Knittig home with the only run of the game in a 1-0 Tigers’ win. Kelsey Kimminau (2-3) pitched a five-hit shutout for Fort Hays State. She notched five strikeouts. Arkansas Tech starting pitcher Morgan Vaughn (2-1) allowed one run on four hits over seven and two-thirds innings. She struck out eight Tigers.
