Time Out for Tech, the annual visit day that provides high school seniors with a preview of learning and living at Arkansas Tech University, will take place Thursday, Feb. 23.
All high school seniors graduating in May 2023 are invited to attend.
“Our supportive learning environment, scholarship opportunities, wide variety of major fields of study and overall college experience make Arkansas Tech University the right fit for thousands of students every year,” said Kevin Solomon, dean for student engagement and interim assistant vice president for enrollment management at ATU. “If you are a high school senior evaluating your next step in life, you owe it to yourself to attend Time Out for Tech and discover all that ATU has to offer. We believe you will find your fit at Arkansas Tech.”
Time Out for Tech attendees will learn more about gaining admission to ATU, student housing, meal plans, financial aid and campus life. There will be academic breakout sessions that will provide details about each student’s preferred field of study, campus tours and photo opportunities with Jerry the Bulldog, ATU campus ambassador.
Due to Time Out for Tech, parking lot BB (near Tucker Coliseum) will be closed from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on the day of the event.
Individuals accustomed to parking in this area should make alternate plans for Thursday, Feb. 23, and all members of the ATU community should plan on increased traffic on campus during Time Out for Tech.
