Arkansas Tech University student Lindsey Triplett has been named the 2015 Arkansas “Agvocate” of the Year by Arkansas Farm Bureau at its annual conference in Little Rock this week.
Triplett, a junior from Damascus, is studying agriculture and journalism with an emphasis in public relations at Arkansas Tech.
Active in her future industry, Triplett has served as a state officer for Arkansas FFA, interned with Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation and worked in the newsroom at the National FFA Convention.
Upon graduating from Arkansas Tech, Triplett hopes to pursue a career communicating the importance of agriculture.
“I am honored to have been recognized by Farm Bureau in this manner,” said Triplett. “Farm Bureau is known as the voice of agriculture, and to be recognized by the organization for promoting the industry is such an honor.”
