Arkansas Tech’s Jonathon Spikes and Ryan Hitt both earned a spot on the 2009-10 All-Gulf South Conference men’s golf team, which was announced by the league office in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday.
Spikes (photographed, top right), a senior from Danville, has a 73.5 scoring average in 2009-10. He has four top-10 finishes so far this year and he earned a share of 12th at the GSC Tournament in Hot Springs earlier this week.
This is the second All-GSC honor for Spikes, who was also all-conference as a freshman in 2007.
Hitt (photographed, bottom right), a senior from Allen, Texas, has a 74.1 scoring average this year. He also has four top-10 finishes in 2009-10. Hitt finished in a tie for 25th at the GSC Tournament.
This is Hitt’s first All-GSC nod.
The Wonder Boys took fourth place in the final team standings at the GSC Tournament.
