The Practical Nursing program at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus will host a pinning ceremony on Friday, December 17.
The ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the new Student Services’ Conference Center at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus.
Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, Chancellor will introduce special guests, and Dr. Robert C. Brown; President of Arkansas Tech University will give the welcome.
During the ceremony, 15 students will be recognized and pinned. Additionally, several awards will be presented to students following categories:
- Friendship Award – selected by the class and given to the student who possesses a pleasant personality, honesty, generosity, sense of humor and dependability for help throughout the school year.
- Winner Award – selected by the class based on the ability of the person to have the power to overcome the many obstacles they encountered outside of school yet continuing with their education seeking help when needed, solving their problems and keeping an inner strength through it all.
- Student of the Year Award – selected by the class, this award is based on attitude in class and in the clinical area, leadership ability, clinical abilities and professional confidence.
- Best PN Assessment Award – given to the student with the highest PN test score.
The student’s then will present awards for CNA, LPN, and RN of the year from each clinical group which was presented to the nurses in the field who assisted our graduates throughout the course from Clarksville and Van Buren.
There will be a reception immediately following the ceremony for the graduates, their family and guests.
