Arkansas Tech University Student Activities Board will host Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 2025 at Hindsman Tower on Monday, March 3.
The event will begin with a rally against violence at 3 p.m. The walk will start at 4 p.m.
Males in attendance are invited to wear red high heels for the walk as a statement of listening, learning, allyship and commitment.
All in attendance are invited to walk for sexual violence prevention, learn about relationship red flags and show support for survivors of interpersonal violence.
Frank Baird, a licensed therapist and counselor from California, created Walk a Mile in Her Shoes in 2001.
According to the Walk a Mile national website, the event is an “opportunity to raise awareness in your community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to men’s sexualized violence.”
