Arkansas Tech University students, faculty and staff attended a reception today to extend well wishes to Grant Watts as he leaves the Arkansas Tech community.
Tuesday afternoon’s reception was held in Room 104 of the Doc Bryan Student Services Building, and Watts was presented a plaque for his service to Arkansas Tech.
“Tech has been like a family and home to be,” said Watts. “You all will definitely be missed but not forgotten.”
Since 2008, Watts has overseen intramurals and outdoor recreation and fitness at Arkansas Tech. Under his guidance, Arkansas Tech has expanded its outdoor recreation offerings and provided a quality recreation experience for students.
Watts will be leaving Arkansas Tech to oversee intramural sports at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock.
