Several entities at Arkansas Tech University have made announcements concerning their inclement weather operational plans for Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Chambers Cafeteria opened at 8 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, to provide for the nourishment of residential students. All other concepts operated by Chartwells at ATU in Russellville, including Baswell Techionery, are closed.
The Hull Building student union will be open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center announced through its Twitter account that it is closed Tuesday, Feb. 16.
The Barnes and Noble College ATU Bookstore in the W.O. Young Building is closed Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Services such as the ATU Department of Public Safety and the ATU Campus Support Center for technology needs will remain available to the ATU community.
One of the effects of the winter weather has been heating issues in some rooms in Jones Residence Hall. The ATU Office of Facilities Management and the ATU Department of Residence Life are working to address those issues.
In the meantime, temporary spaces are available to Jones Residence Hall residents affected by the heating issues. They may call (479) 317-7143 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. to request temporary accommodations. Further information from the ATU Department of Residence Life will be communicated directly to affected students.
