Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus will conduct its 2022 Veterans Day observance on Thursday, Nov. 10.
The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Student Services Conference Center at ATU-Ozark. Lunch will be provided. Admission will be free and open to the public.
Master Sergeant Matthew S. Howard will serve as guest speaker at the luncheon. He has served in the Arkansas Army National Guard since 1994.
A resident of Clarksville, Howard’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Non-Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal, Arkansas Exceptional Service Medal, Arkansas Commendation Medal, Arkansas Outstanding Soldier and Airman of the Year Ribbon, Arkansas Federal Service Ribbon, Arkansas Service Ribbon, Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon, District of Columbia Presidential Inauguration Service Ribbon, Nebraska Commendation Medal, Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, Field Artillery Master Gunner Badge and the Order of Saint Barbara.
