Members of the Arkansas Tech University community are invited to participate in a worldwide celebration of higher education and intercollegiate athletics by wearing their green and gold on Friday, Aug. 30.
Now in its 15th year, College Colors Day is an annual opportunity for students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters of institutions of higher education to display their passion for and commitment to the university of their choice.
“There is something incredibly unique in the connection that fans have with their favorite college team…it represents good times in their lives that they want to keep experiencing,” said Nicole Armentrout, vice president for marketing at CLC, the licensing firm that developed and promotes College Colors Day. “Whether a fan is excited by the prospects of a new football season or wants to show pride in the traditions and spirit that his or her university represents, wearing college colors outwardly showcases that fandom—and those colors never fade. We look forward to seeing the hundreds of thousands of fans who post pictures of themselves wearing their team gear on College Colors Day, Aug. 30.”
Individuals may use the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay when posting their ATU-themed photos to social media on Friday, Aug. 30.
